BSkyB purchase 12 Inscriber Inca RTX systems

Inscriber, a subsidiary of Leitch Technology Corporation and a leading global provider of broadcast solutions, has announced that British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) has purchased 12 Inscriber Inca RTX systems for its facility at Isleworth, London, for increased graphic and real-time data display capabilities.
"The recent purchase of 12 Inscriber Inca RTX systems positively supports our progressive plans for enhancing our capabilities," said Mark Crawford, head of Broadcast Computing for BSkyB.
"Inca RTX gives us the flexibility in developing specific applications for integrating and displaying station clocks, live sports scores and real-time election results. This builds on our confidence in Inscriber RTX, already deployed in such key roles as the main results system for our flagship Soccer Saturday programme."
Inca RTX is the most flexible and capable real-time 2D/3D graphics, video and clips platform available. Inca RTX is a developer's tool for creating custom broadcast applications, such as up-to-the minute data in sports, weather and elections; dynamic graphics and effects within interactive programs, game shows and shopping channels; multiple layers of graphics, video, and animations in news and information channels.
"BSkyB is a leading broadcaster that others seek to emulate," said David Hughes, European Sales Manager for Inscriber. "We are pleased that BSkyB has determined that Inscriber Inca RTX is the best solution to meet their complex requirements for creating and displaying sophisticated graphics that integrate real-time data."
