Inscriber previews next generation RTX

Inscriber, a leading provider of broadcast solutions, is previewing Inca RTX at this year’s IBC show.
Inca RTX is the latest addition to Inscriber’s innovative Inca series of professional broadcast solutions.
Inca RTX is the next generation of the powerful RTX product, used worldwide by broadcasters to create custom real-time broadcast applications for the display of dynamic information in sports, elections and news. Inca RTX interfaces directly with video hardware, allowing broadcasters to create live custom applications for split screens, multi-zone displays, crawls, and link with live data feeds.
Inca RTX provides a new level of playback performance. The rich multi-layer environment allows for dynamic display of animated text, graphics, video clips, SDI video, DVE and uncompressed 3D animations, on an infinite number of overlapping layers.
New commands and features allow screen elements to be combined with real-time motion effects, such as transitions on running effects like crawls and rolls; real-time clip-to-clip dissolves and organic transitions. The innovative Inscriber PCI-100 serial digital interface card provides video input and output.
Inca RTX also features diverse input and output support. Software codec support allows for the playback of various video formats such as DV, MPEG1 and MPEG2.
Inca RTX is powered by a COM interface that is accessible through popular programming languages such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, Java and Borland Delphi.
Dan Mance, President of Inscriber: "This is our most innovative and powerful version of RTX yet. Inscriber's new Inca platform has enabled Inca RTX to deliver impressive new features and functionality that will allow broadcasters to develop superior applications."
Inscriber develops open system-based character generators and digital graphics tools for the television broadcast and video post-production industries. Its clients include ABC, NBC, CNN and BBC, among others.
