Gray Television Group purchases five Inscriber graphic systems
Inscriber, a subsidiary of Leitch Technology and a leading global provider of broadcast solutions, have announced that the Gray Television Group's WCAV (CBS), WVAW (ABC), and WAHU (FOX), located in Charlottesville, Virginia, have purchased five Inscriber graphic systems.
Their purchase of three Inca Station and two Inca Studio systems permits the three affiliate channels to improve their graphics capability and integrate with currently owned automation equipment.
Designed for master control branding, the Inca Station systems will drive animated and still logos, multiple real-time data crawls and time and temperature information to maximize viewer impact and retention. The Inca Station systems will be controlled by Sundance Digital automation systems to insert graphics, promotional clips, moving backgrounds, emergency programming, local news and advertising.
The Inca Studio systems will be deployed for on-air news. Inca Studio delivers unmatched graphic sophistication, composition and playback through numerous essential tools. Inscriber's advanced solution enables multiple channel effects to be created on a single channel for breaking news or live events. The Inca Studio systems will be connected to their ENPS, AP's news production system, to drive over-the-shoulder graphics and lower-third animated graphics.
Inscriber has customers in over 110 countries, for product line that include character generators (Inca Studio), real-time 2D/3D broadcast graphics platform (Inca RTX), networked graphics/automation (Inca AutoCG) and digital signage solutions (InfoCaster).
Inscriber solutions are also integrated into products from Quantel, Canopus and Adobe. The company's customers include ABC, NBC, CBC, CNN, BBC, BSkyB, and Rogers Sportsnet.
