BSkyB buy 12 Inscriber RTX systems

Inscriber have announced that the British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB) have purchased 12 LIVE!RTX systems, for developing custom broadcast graphics, as part of an upgrade of their live graphics facilities for sports coverage.
The recent purchase of 12 LIVE!RTX systems from Gee Broadcast will be deployed in the field to provide onsite graphics insertion for live sports events. The use of the LIVE!RTX systems allows BSkyB to build on their existing in-house expertise with the Inscriber RTX application which is widely used for sports and election graphics.
RTX solutions offer the ability to dynamically display sports scores or other information. With BSkyB’s programming skills and RTX's direct interface to video hardware, developers can split screens, create multi-zone displays, continuous crawls, links to live data feeds, display clocks and more.
The LIVE!RTX systems provide a proven hardware platform to give reliable broadcast performance. These compact 2RU high systems also provide a built-in LCD monitor to ease use in OB vans. Rugged construction and redundant power supply units also improve reliability under broadcast conditions. The systems purchased also include support for clip playback as well as static or animated graphics. The LIVE!RTX systems are being supplied with SDI video and key outputs but can also provide analog video when needed to maintain maximum flexibility.
