DGP Owner Gareth Mullaney Buys Rainbow Post

New DGP owner Gareth Mullaney has made his second post facility purchase in the space of a fortnight.
Having picked up DGP last week, Mullaney has now bought 100% of the shareholding of Rainbow Post, including the majority share held by indie Pioneer Productions.
Rainbown and DGP will now be run side-by-side, sharing resources and in the future, if viable, will both be based at DGP's facility in Greek Street, providing HD post services including offline, online, audio, encoding, DVD and Blu-ray services.
As part of the Rainbow deal, Mullaney has also secured a first look option on Pioneer's post-production work going forward.
"Rainbow had a good reputation, but it was a little bit under the radar," explained Mullaney, discussing the purchase. "I want to grow the company in conjunction with DGP. But rather than apply a 'if you build it they will come' type approach we'll work with clients to provide a post house for them. I want it to be diverse and replicate the complimentary services that a big company might offer."
Stuart Carter, Managing Director of Pioneer Productions, added: "Rainbow has been at the forefront of HD, surround sound and FTPing for many years and has been an integral part of our quality programming. Looking ahead, as we streamline our business, we are delighted that Rainbow is able to team up with Gareth and DGP. We look forward to continuing our relationship with them as clients."
