DGP APPOINT FOUR KEY NEW MEMBERS

DGP, one of the UK’s leading post-production and new media facilities, have announced the appointment of four new members of staff.
The appointments are: John McLaren as Symphony and Smoke editor; Moira Brophy as a Producer; Tanya Kulinich as Bookings Co-ordinator; and Carle Duthoo as Machine Room Operator.
These appointments have been made to accommodate the continuing and increasing demand for DGP services and to meet the operational needs created by the recent suite upgrades and purchase of new equipment, which includes an Avid Symphony.
McLaren joins DGP from a Welsh Production Company where he was employed as a Smoke Operator, working on both Regional and National commercials for a range of clients including MGM, Universal and Tiny Computers. His position at DGP will involve working on Avid Symphony, an on-line editing and compositing system recently installed at DGP, as well as working on Smoke and Flint, both as an On-line editor.
Brophy spent five years at SVC on Wardour Street focusing mostly on commercials and idents before moving into long-form post-production at Telecine. Her most recent position was as a Producer at Camden based Todd AO, where she concentrated on drama post-production. At DGP Brophy has specific responsibility for the post-production work in the Smoke, Flint and Symphony Suites, in addition to overseeing budgets on new projects.
Kulinich has gained a broad industry experience in the last nine years working on commercials, promo videos, audio recording and live music production. She worked as Facilities Manager at Images Post Ltd of Auckland, New Zealand and has worked in production management and co-ordination for clients including Crowded House, Nigel Kennedy, Saatchi & Saatchi and O&M. As Bookings Co-ordinator, she will oversee the booking of Avid suites and liase with clients and other DGP departments.
Duthoo spent four years as a Production Assistant in Paris before moving to Clear Cut Pictures where he joined the machine room staff as a VT Operator and Avid Technician. Carle was responsible for VT Maintenance, job-sheets and transfers, and providing technical support to the editors. At DGP Carle will have a similar remit, overseeing the smooth running of the newly installed machine room, operating as an Avid Technician and providing training to new VT Operators. (CD)
