DGP lands top DVD Operations talent
DGP, the Soho based DVD and post production facility has announced the recruitment of Lucie Mahoney to the position of Head of DVD Operations, reporting directly to the overall joint Managing Director and Head of DVD, Julian Day.
Mahoney (who will soon be known by her married name of Jennings when she returns from her honeymoon) was previously Head of DVD at TMR Digital where she oversaw key UK and international releases for the major studios and local distributors.
The DVD department at DGP currently numbers 30 and Mahoney will have responsibility for client management, general DVD operations and managing workflows and processes.
Mahoney explained the reason behind her move: "DGP has a flow of major theatrical release DVD projects ongoing, as well as those in the television and corporate fields which all give real diversity to my role. Furthermore, DGP’s real involvement in the advancements of HD DVD and Blu-ray as a format through the Sonic Solutions High Definition Authoring Alliance means that there are few places to work in the UK that allow access to this level of knowledge and progression."
