Granada International Takes 'Headcases' To MIP

Granada International will launch a brand new groundbreaking comedy series at MIP next week.
Featuring some of the hottest writing and vocal talents in the comedy business and using the latest CGI computer wizardry 'Headcases', which takes a biting, satirical look at the worlds of celebrity and politics, looks set to become the scourge of international celebrities and politicians everywhere.
Cheeky, irreverent and with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, no famous face escapes the sardonic pen of the writing team led by creator Henry Naylor ('Big Impression', 'Spitting Image').
Created in association with the BAFTA award-winning animation company Red Vision, the 60-plus characters featured in 'Headcases' range from household names to Hollywood A-listers and from politicians and Royals to sporting figures.
In the parallel comedy universe of 'Headcases', famous faces such as Amy Winehouse, David and Victoria Beckham, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Madonna and Bono, as well as political figures, including Gordon Brown, George Bush, Vladimir Putin and Nicolas Sarkozy, appear in absurd and surreal surroundings created using cutting-edge CGI animation.
The writers' credits include 'Little Britain', 'Harry Hill's TV Burp', 'Have I Got News For You' and 'Spitting Image' and characters are voiced by some of the best vocal artists working in the industry today, including Lewis Macleod, Katy Brand, Kayvan Novak, Rory Bremner, John Culshaw and Omid Djalili.
The series is produced by ITV Productions for ITV 1.
Part of ITV Worldwide, Granada International is one of the largest and most successful commercial television distributors in Europe. Further information is available at: www.granadamedia.com/international.
