Zodiak Invests In Production Company 'Lucky Day'

Zodiak has further broadened its UK operations by investing in a new production company Lucky Day, headed by Damon Pattison, former head of development at Celador. Lucky Day will focus on entertainment, specializing in primetime game and quiz shows.
Over the past year, Zodiak has made two large UK acquisitions, Diverse Productions and Bullseye TV, and is currently moving its distribution unit Zodiak Television World from Copenhagen to London. Through these investments Zodiak has created a significant presence on the UK market, with the ambition to be a full-service supplier as well as continue to build a substantial international sales business for Zodiak programming as well as third party content.
On the agenda going forward are complementary investments and the first of these is Lucky Day, an entertainment company set up by Zodiak and Damon Pattison, the man behind success stories such as You Are What you Eat and Perfect Strangers.

This growth strategy has previously been used by Zodiak in other parts of the world, including Denmark where in 2006, Zodiak along with three well-renowned industry profiles set up the drama and comedy company Social Club Productions. Already in its first year, the company has delivered hits to several broadcasters.
