Connected Pictures Secures Deal With Zodiak Rights
Connected Pictures has announced it has secured a worldwide distribution deal with Zodiak Rights, part of Zodiak Media Group, for The World's Youngest Daredevils.
The deal for the documentary special is the first between the two companies and sees Zodiak Rights acquire worldwide rights (excluding UK and Eire) for five years.
The show, commissioned by Sky 1 HD, follows Myleene Klass as she travels the globe meeting exceptional children with unusual talents - including a ten-year-old cage fighter, a baby bullfighter and the world's youngest lion tamer.
Peter Penny, CEO of Connected Pictures, said: "Connected Pictures is dedicated to producing high-quality factual entertainment content that both challenges and engages audiences; The World's Youngest Daredevils is a prime example of this. Today's deal reinforces Connected Pictures' strong international perspective and recognises our desire to produce fresh and fearless programming with a global appeal."
Emily Elisha, Head of Factual for Zodiak Rights, said: "We are thrilled to be in partnership with Connected Pictures on this intimate and thoughtful film which travels the globe to find the truth behind the extraordinary lives of children involved in dangerous pursuits."
Connected Pictures is a UK-based production company which produces content for some of the world's biggest brands and broadcasters. Broadcast successes include The Urban Chef for BBC and Everyone Loves Lil' Chris for Channel 4.
Zodiak Rights is part of Zodiak Media Group, the new international rights business combining RDF Rights and Zodiak Entertainment Distribution, following the acquisition of RDF Media Group by Zodiak Media Group.
The World's Youngest Daredevils was devised by Bianca Adefarakan. It was executive produced by Celia Taylor, Head of Factual for Sky 1 HD, Sky 1, 2 and 3 and Katherine Parsons, Head of Broadcast, Connected Pictures. It was produced by Erika Dodd and directed by Rob Lambie for Connected Pictures.
