Zodiak Television To Acquire Bullseye TV

Zodiak Television is to acquire Bullseye TV, the fast-growing, London based international distribution and production company, it has been announced by Patrick Svensk, President and CEO at Zodiak Television. Simultaneously, Bullseye TV will acquire the vital assets from Zodiak Television World, the group's distribution company. All distribution activities will be moved to London from Copenhagen to establish a substantial, full service distribution company, wholly owned by Zodiak Television.
Zodiak Television and the owners of Roth Media Ltd, trading as Bullseye TV, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding and the deal, which is subject to due diligence and final agreements, is expected to be finalised before the end of September.
Bullseye was established in the late 90's as a dynamic and innovative independent distribution and production company.
Bullseye will trade as two distinctive brands under one roof in the future: a distribution division and an innovative production outfit with special focus on content management and new platforms. The distribution company will take over vital assets from Zodiak and re-brand itself as Zodiak Television World, becoming a full service distribution company covering formats, clips, finished programmes and drama. The production division will continue to be called Bullseye TV. Jorg Roth, Managing Director, the founder and main shareholder of Bullseye will head both divisions and will join the Zodiak group management team.
Bullseye has been growing rapidly over recent years and has enjoyed worldwide successes in production and content management with shows such as Cops Uncut (an 80 episode police chase show produced for Court TV in the USA and Bravo in the UK, which has been picked up in almost 20 other territories), How it Works for National Geographic and Animal Crackers for Animal Planet. Bullseye has also shown particular strength in the digital arena with several shows airing on PPV in the USA and running its own internet TV channel on Joost called Braindead, which in July 2007 was among the 20th most watched channels worldwide on this new platform.
Zodiak Television World has been very successful during the 21st century in distributing both Nordic and international entertainment formats to the global TV community. Highly successful formats such as The Big Class Reunion, Friends Forever, The Empire, FC Nerds, Stars on Stage, Top Dog, Beyond Boundaries, Codex and 50 more have been sold into more than 70 countries.
Zodiak Television AB carries on the development, production and sales of TV programmes under the brand names of MTV Mastiff, Mastiff Media, Jarowskij, T & T Broadcaster, Look Entertainment, Diverse Productions, Social Club Production 5th Element, Yellow Bird, TeleAlliance, Dixi Media and YS Films in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, England, USA, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. The subsidiary company Zodiak Television World sells the programmes and rights of the Group and other production companies in the international market with customers in more than 70 countries.
