Granada International hots up in Scandinavia

Granada International has sold a number of its literary titles to Kanal 5 in Sweden and renewed output deals in Norway and Finland.
In a deal brokered by Rochelle Bradley, Sales Executive Scandinavia at Granada International, Sweden's Kanal 5 has acquired a substantial collection of award winning and critically acclaimed adaptations from Granada International's extensive programming catalogue. Titles include Moll Flanders starring Alex Kingston, Brideshead Revisited starring Jeremy Irons and Sir Laurence Olivier, The Forsyte Saga starring Damian Lewis, Sharpe starring Sean Bean, as well as The Jewel in the Crown, Sherlock Holmes among many others.
In addition, Bradley has also confirmed the renewal of two output deals in Scandinavia. Granada International has signed a multi-year output deal with Norway's NRK to cover drama and children’s programming and a further output deal with YLE, Finland to include all programming genres.
Rochelle Bradley commented: "I am delighted that our literary programming will be seen by viewers in Sweden. These stories are timeless and the productions we represent are extremely high-end and can equally stand the test of time. I am sure Kanal 5's viewers will be delighted to discover these exciting and memorable tales. I am also very pleased to renew two output deals in Scandinavia which demonstrates how broadcasters are sure our future programming will work for them."
