Granada International sends drama to France

Leading distributor Granada International has sold a number of contemporary mini-series to France’s key broadcasters, according to Nadine Nohr, Managing Director at Granada International.
All produced by ITV Productions, the dramas include the moving and compelling love story Walk Away and I Stumble, starring Tamzin Outhwaite (Eastenders) and Mark Strong (Prime Suspect), which has been acquired by TF1.
A tale of murder, love and betrayal, If I Had You, starring Sarah Parish (Cutting It), and Kindness of Strangers starring Neil Pearson (Bridget Jones' Diary) and Hermione Norris (Cold Feet) have been sold to M6.
The gripping thrillers, Secret Smile, featuring new Dr Who David Tennant, Kate Ashfield (Shaun of the Dead) and Clare Goose (Waking the Dead), and Love Lies Bleeding, starring Martin Kemp (Eastenders) and Hugo Speer (The Full Monty), have been picked up by Canal Plus.
Toby Melling, VP International Sales France at Granada International, commented: “I am delighted that the high production qualities and writing of these contemporary drama mini-series has caught the eye of the main French broadcasters.”
In a further French deal the hit documentary series Megastructures has been acquired by France 5. This awe-inspiring documentary series examines the construction of some of the world's most impressive structures, revealing the drama, personal stories and remarkable technological innovations behind some of the most staggering engineering feats of the modern day.
