TSI 'Finalise' colour correction system

Edifis Finaliser was one of, if not the, best selling dedicated colour correction and delivery systems in the UK over the last 12 months.
Joining the rapidly expanding list of users is TSI, one of London’s largest full service facilities.
The introduction of the Finaliser gives TSI the ability to offer clients project continuity throughout the post production life cycle without having to go out of house to grade.
The first two projects to go through the new suite will be ‘What Not To Wear’ (7 x 60 Minutes for BBC1) and ‘A Bear’s Tail’ (6 x 30 minutes Belly Ache for Channel 4) with Dicky Everton and Duncan Balmain driving the suite.
Simon Peach, MD TSI Group, said: “We are very excited by this acquisition. Having spent a great deal of time researching the grading solutions on the market it became very clear very quickly that the Finaliser system offers an enviable combination of speed and technical agility giving it the edge over its competitors and a vast improvement over what we currently can offer in Symphony. In the past we have had clients offline then online with us and then take the grade elsewhere, so we are really happy to now be able to offer the ability for our clients to the continuity to go from storyboard to delivery without having to go out of house.”
Richard Lillley, Sales Director, Edifis, added: “TSI has an enviable reputation and we are pleased to be working with them. The Finaliser real time grading solution is perfect for the high level of work TSI undertakes. Offering integral uncompressed storage for six hours HD and 24 hours SD, it also offers Multi Standard acquisition and layback with 32 colour corrector layers and dynamically adjustable mattes and keys. We are confident that our product is a class leading system offering the versatility that digitally shot material for the television market requires and is also perfect to meet TSI’s increasing demand for HD output.”
