Sirius-owned shopping channel gets the TSI touch
TSI Design, the graphics arm of broadcast services company TSI, are producing a graphics package of animated stings and idents to promote the festive season on TV Warehouse, one of Sirius Retail Television’s home shopping channels.
The new TV Warehouse Christmas look, consisting of a series of six idents and seven stings, starts airing from mid-November and continues throughout the Christmas period.
Designed by Ben MacGregor and production managed by Eddie Thomas under the creative direction of Malcolm Dalton, the idents feature a series of multi-cultural animated characters enjoying their Christmas shopping at TV Warehouse. The viewer sees the characters interacting in a number of different environments – with presents, putting up decorations, organising parties and getting fit after Christmas.
The graphics were composited and finished by Duncan Balmain on TSI Design’s Discreet smoke system. TSI also carried out extensive audio work, with Elli Pearl and Tom Paget adding sound effects such as exploding party poppers and partygoers kissing under the mistletoe to the bespoke Christmas music by Adam Fox.
Sirius TV Director of Content and Operations, Simon Ingram, said: “The challenge for TSI was to design a series of idents that showed the viewer that with TV Warehouse not only can you get Christmas presents, you can buy products that help you prepare for Christmas and also a range of products that can assist you in repairing some of the damage that can be caused during the festive season. TSI really responded well to the brief and came up with some fun idents that came in on time and on budget.”
