TVD PURCHASE TEN INSCRIBER SYSTEMS

INSCRIBER Technology reported that TV Denmark (TVD) have purchased and installed ten Inscriber character generator systems throughout their country-wide regional stations.
TVD are television broadcasters headquartered just outside Copenhagen, Denmark and they broadcast a variety of local news, talk shows, sports and more.
TVD were searching for a graphics system that would allow them to create a unique on-air look for their regional broadcast news. The new TVD on-air look demanded mixing animated graphics with video patterns. After reviewing their choices, TVD chose the Inscriber family of character generators with the new Active Texture Option, which allows for inclusion of motion video as a graphical element.
Kim Gude of VT Extension, Denmark's Inscriber Dealers, said: "TV Denmark approached our company before IBC 2000, asking us to assist them with finding the equipment necessary to create a special on-air look that would separate them from competitors. At IBC Inscriber displayed their new technology including the Active Texture Option, which was particularly notable since it did not require a lot of expensive hardware. TV Demark then purchased eight CG·Xtreme systems and two VMP Studio systems, all with the unique Active Texture Option, which we installed in custom-built IBM Intellistations."
Inscriber's Active Texture Option dramatically enhances CG layouts by making motion video available as a texture on an Inscriber text or graphic object. The Active Texture Option seamlessly integrates to expand Inscriber's VMP Studio and CGoXtreme. Inscriber's VMP Studio enables artists to create and deliver stunning graphics quickly by integrating five video tools into one powerful NT-based solution. VMP Studio incorporates an advanced on-line broadcast CG, motion effects, digital still store, alpha-aware paint system and a dynamic event sequencer.
Inscriber CGoXtreme is a high-performance character generator with motion effects, productivity enhancing templates and an event sequencer. (CD)
