Channel 4 News purchases five Inscriber InfoCaster systems
Inscriber, a subsidiary of Leitch Technology Corporation and a leading provider of SD/HD solutions for professional digital video, has announced that ITN has purchased five Inscriber InfoCaster systems for Channel 4 News.
The systems will reside in ITN’s London facility for use in displaying sophisticated graphics and video clips as part of their news studio set.
“ITN News purchased five Inscriber InfoCaster systems from Gee Broadcast Systems Ltd. as part of our vision to create a new and innovative look for our Channel 4 News set,” said Paul Flook, Head of Broadcast Engineering for ITN.
“To achieve our design goals, it was important to us that the system produce outstanding graphics. We chose Inscriber InfoCaster because we can create the graphics we want and integrate video clips to correspond with current news stories. It’s not only easy to use, but also gives us the flexibility of variable video scaling to drive plasma screens, even in vertical mode, and also drives a large video-wall. Inscriber InfoCaster’s role in our set design assists us to capture and retain viewer attention.”
InfoCaster is a powerful out-of-the-box solution that quickly creates the impressive multi-zone on-air look for digital signage, broadcasting, satellite and cable applications.
Intuitive and easy to use, InfoCaster integrates overlapping regions of crawls, rolls, animations, clocks, live video, clips, graphics and text in multi-zone presentations of news, weather, business and community information.
