4MC WORK ON BBC DRAMA
4MC, a renowned facilities house based in the centre of Soho, have developed an ingenious digital video ‘filmic’ effect on Abekas Dveous DVE that was applied to the second series of the BBC hit TV drama ‘Hearts and Bones’.
The entire 6-part series was shot was on Digi-Beta. Rushes, Senior Telecine Colourist Dominic Aaron carried out the fine grade on Cintel C-Reality in the presence of Producer Sally Haynes who requested a warm, glossy, hi-contrast look. To further enhance the pictures, a ‘filmic’ look was later added after completing the conform. Johnathan Whitehead, Edting Manager of 4MC explains… ‘4MC have developed a film effect by harnessing the processing power of the Dveous DVE that is less harsh than traditional field doubling type treatments, which resulted in a more pleasing and authentic film look for the production.
4MC is an amalgamation of some of the longest standing television and film facilities in Soho: TVI, TVP, Magmasters and West-1 TV, offering the widest range of digital video services ever available within the UK.
