4MC chooses Clarity HD

Pixel Power Ltd have announced that leading post-production house 4MC has taken delivery of a Pixel Power Clarity HD character generator and graphics system.
The unit will be situated in the 4MC HD linear suite in Soho, the heart of London's post-production community.
4MC is one of the largest post-production facilities in the UK, with a long history and expertise in Broadcast Television. The requirement for superior High Definition graphics quality demanded by their prestigious client base led 4MC to specify a fast, reliable and easy to use open platform character generator with extensive graphics that would seamlessly integrate with their new HD NLE suite. Pixel Power's Clarity HD was chosen after an extended trial period during which all major HD character generator (CG) products were evaluated by 4MC. Crucial factors in 4MC's decision to purchase the Clarity HD were the exceptional smoothness of animated HD graphics, ease of open platform operation in the post environment, powerful creative features, versatility and value for money.
Designed with the graphics artist in mind Clarity is aimed at the graphics preparation, edit suite and live environments. Clarity GX is more than a dedicated character generator integrating with leading graphics tools, non-linear editors and automation and newsroom systems. It further expands system capabilities to include cell animations, an enhanced range of flexible shapes and analogue clock functions. It also adds a comprehensive onboard paint system with freehand brushes, image effects, colour correction, matte creation, rotoscoping and VTR control. Tight integration of paint and character generation tools streamlines the workflow, making the Clarity HD GX exceptionally flexible and productive.
Johnathan Whitehead, Head of Editing at 4MC, said: "After careful evaluation of all the HD systems out there, we chose the Pixel Power Clarity because we felt their HD graphics quality was head and shoulders above the others and it integrates perfectly into our HD environment."
James Gilbert, Commercial Director of Pixel Power said: "Having a leading post-production house like 4MC choose the Clarity system further validates the strengths of our systems in the HD arena."
Established in 1987, Pixel Power is dedicated to providing broadcasters and facilities with powerful graphics and character generator products. With a flexible, professional range of award-winning products, Pixel Power has over 1300 systems installed worldwide.
