Film Services Appointment At Soho Film Lab

Ascent Media has announced the appointment of Neil Mockler, who joins the Soho Film Lab to lead the team as Director of Film Services.
In his new role, Mockler will be expanding the operation to include more features work in addition to the current flow of dramas and commercial projects the lab handles in association with sister companies Ascent142 and Rushes. Mockler will also be overseeing the final stages of the recent upgrade at the Soho facilities in London.
Mockler commented: "Our emphasis will now be to offer and deliver to our clients a service that is as broad as their individual needs and one which is driven by reliability, quality with a keen eye on cost.
"By utilising the different combinations and offerings from within the Ascent Media Group there are many additional benefits to using the Soho Film Labs services. To this extent I am delighted with the level of co-operation and support from the various companies within Ascent Media Group here in the UK and I'm looking forward to building greater ties with our US and worldwide facilities."
Mockler has spent his working career in the film industry, starting out at Rank Film Laboratories in 1978 where he gained experience in the optical department as cameraman. He has also held laboratory positions within grading, printing and developing. He moved into sales at General Screen Enterprises in 1988 and by 1992 he was back heading up the TV Department at Rank Film and via a period at Deluxe, he became managing director of Arion Communications until joining the Soho Film Lab recently.
Mockler will report to Simon Constable, SVP Operations, Ascent Media Group.
