4MC GOES FX

AS PART of the major redevelopment at their Wardour Street facilities, 4MC have upgraded their Editbox to the latest top-of-the-line FX specification.
Johnny Whitehead, 4MC Head of Editing, said: “Our Editbox has consistently been a productive editing workhorse for 4MC. This upgrade keeps it way ahead of the pack, and will be of key interest to new clients.”
The Editbox FX is already in action at 4MC working on several major dramas scheduled for the autumn season and Editor Philippe Key is enjoying his new editing system. He said: “The FX has eight fully interactive superlayers, which means I can take on complex titles and effects work alongside mainstream editing tasks. We’ve also invested in a Masher which gives us background rendering of effects plug-ins. As a result I can take on anything the clients throw at me - and get them the result they want at lightning speed.”
4MC are one of London’s largest - and leading - broadcast facilities with diverse credits - from the popular comedy news panel quiz ‘Have I got News for You?’ and ‘The Weakest Link’ to dramas such as ‘The Jury’, ‘Urban Gothic’ and BBC2’s ‘The Office’. When the facility overhaul is complete, 4MC will boast 4 telecine suites, 5 sound studios and 22 edit suites, including several dry hire cutting rooms.
