BBC OFFER FREE COURSES

TO MARK European Health and Safety Week the BBC are offering free courses.
The health and safety courses are open to anyone in the industry, including staff, contractors and freelances, and run from 16-25 October 2001.
Accident prevention is the theme of the week, and five one-day courses focusing on risk assessment, responsibilities, control, co-ordination and communication will be held at BBC Regional centres.
The courses include: Safe management of productions; Safe working with cameras and lights on productions; Safe design and build of production sets; Safety for newsgathering at home and abroad and Safe simulation of potentially hazardous actions and effects on productions. (CD)
