BBC T&D highlight new media courses at Mediacast 2003

BBC Training & Development are to showcasing their range of satellite, digital video for the web and streaming media courses at this year's Mediacast (stand no H61).
Over the past year, BBC Training & Development have provided nearly 4,000 courses for over 24,500 people both within and outside the BBC.
With their fingers firmly on the pulse of new media technology, they are at the forefront of providing training for this fast-growing and exciting area of broadcasting.
BBC Training & Development's satellite courses range from introductory to advanced, and cater both for technical and non-technical staff. All satellite courses include training on the transmission and reception of vision and audio signals, as well as how data can be carried.
For people producing video for the web using digital video cameras the practical course on Shooting Digital Video for the Web is ideal, providing experience and confidence to produce high quality video.
The Introduction to Streaming Media course is aimed at people with a basic knowledge of web production. It includes how to edit, encode and integrate audio and video material into a site, as well as providing grounding in the production standards and issues relating to the use of Real Media. It will offer an understanding of the software and hardware involved.
As well as their satellite, digital video for the web, and media streaming courses, there will also be information available on the full range of BBC Training & Development's training courses.
