SKILLSET LAUNCH HEALTH & SAFETY TRAINING CAMPAIGN

SKILLSET have launched a freelance health and safety training campaign.
£100,000 is being invested in the campaign which is supported by BECTU. The money will be used to fund a number of activities to help freelancers access training.
There are three elements to the campaign: Individual Training Bursaries which can cover 75% of the cost of a course plus travel and accommodation costs; Subsidised places on short courses and Opportunities to gain the Skillset Health and Safety Certificate in Risk Assessment or Risk Control.
The campaign is being funded by Skillset's Freelance Training Fund and the Skills Investment Fund.
Skillset will also be developing a web-based repository of health and safety information to assist the audio visual industries in maintaining high standards of health and safety. (CD)
