SysMedia at IBC 2002
SysMedia Ltd will be exhibiting on stand 3.249 at IBC 2002, RAI Centre, Amsterdam, September 13-17
The leading supplier of production systems for originating interactive television, digital text and teletext services, SysMedia is now fast becoming the leader in subtitling solutions for open captioning, DVD, DVB, Line 21 and Teletext formats.
2002 is looking to be SysMedia's most successful year ever for supplying subtitling technology. The company's WinCAPS subtitling workstation includes speech-assisted preparation and a unique DVD builder to simplify DVD subtitle preparation. WinCAPS supports most international languages and integrates the latest FMA internet video distribution and SpectreView browsing technology from IPV. Designed to excel in both live and offline subtitling, it offers multiple output formats for Line 21, DVD, open caption and Teletext subtitling.
New additions to SysMedia's PLASMA suite of software modules will be demonstrated. Shown in prototype at IBC 2001 and now in production, PLASMA MAGENTA is a content production system for creating programme-related enhanced TV services, interactive advertisements, and digital text carousel services. These allow broadcasters and service-providers to create, manage and transmit information services within digital television and analogue (Teletext) broadcasts. The extended design provides multi-platform authoring and database management facilities, allowing an information stream to be processed for different target platforms such as MHEG5, HTML, MHP, Open TV and Teletext. Creative staff can produce, review and update interactive content using PLASMA MAGENTA without having to wrestle with the underlying technology.
PLASMA 3, the highly automated Teletext production system, has recent enhancements and additions including increased performance, web gateways and enhanced monitoring and control functionality.
It is unique as the only Teletext system, which is truly upgradeable to provide digital text services.
