Screen Subtitling Systems Wins Turner Contract For HD Subtitling In Argentina
Screen Subtitling Systems has won a contract with Turner to provide two HD subtitling systems for Imagen Satelital S.A. its affiliate in Argentina.
Programming will be broadcast to cable operators across Latin America with accompanying subtitles available in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
The new equipment comprises a Polistream subtitling transmission system, HD timecode cards and closed caption inserters from Norpak Corporation. Currently Turner uses 18 full redundant feeds with equipment provided by Screen.
A long time customer of Screen, Turner Broadcasting System (TBS), a Time Warner company, creates and programs branded news, entertainment, animation and young adult media environments on television and other platform for consumers around the world. TBS is based in Atlanta, GA, and employs more than 9,000 people worldwide.
Many are familiar with TBS' groundbreaking network, CNN, one of the world's most respected and trusted sources for news and information. TBS is also home to familiar entertainment networks such as TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies, Adult Swim and truTV.
