Projects For Short Cuts Scheme Announced

The five successful projects for the Short Cuts scheme have been announced by the Irish Film Board.
The Short Cuts scheme is aimed at fostering new talent and encouraging innovative short film making in Ireland.
This year's selections are:

  • Spacemen Three
    Company: Three Men in a Can Films
    Writers: John Butler & Hugh O'Conor
    Director: Hugh O'Conor
    Producer: Lucy Dyke
    Executive Producer: John McDonnell

  • The German
    Company: Image Now Films
    Writer/Director: Nick Ryan
    Producer: Olivia Leahy
    Executive Producer: John McDonnell

  • Of Best Intentions
    Company: Red Rage Films Ltd
    Writer/Director: Brian Durnin
    Producer: Paul Holmes

  • The Door
    Company: Octagon Films Ltd
    Writer/Director: Juanita Wilson
    Producer: Louise Curran
    Executive Producer: James Flynn
Short Cuts is co-funded by Bord Scannan na hEireann/the Irish Film Board and RTE. This will be the last year of the Short Cuts scheme. The successful five shorts will premiere at the Galway Film Festival next year.
