RTE AND THE IRISH FILM BOARD ANNOUNCE SHORT CUTS

RADIO TELEFIS Eireann (RTE) and The Irish Film Board have announced Short Cuts, the awards scheme for new short Irish fiction films.
Short Cuts, established eight years ago, aims to add to the range and scope of Irish short film-making and to encourage new talent in all areas of film production. Special attention is given to directors, writers and producers with imagination and visual flair, taking a fresh look at contemporary Ireland.
Projects of between 10 and 12 minutes duration are eligible. Successful films will be exhibited at film festivals and broadcast by RTE.
Guidelines for applications and full details of the scheme may be obtained from Jill McGregor, The Irish Film Board, Rockfort House, St Augustine Street, Galwally, or Tel: +353 (091) 561 398. (CD)
