Deadline For BAFTA Short Film and Short Animation Looms
The deadline for the Academy’s Short Film and Short Animation Awards is fast approaching.
If you intend to submit a film, please make sure that your entry form and supporting materials are delivered to the Academy by 5.00 pm Tuesday October 31.
The Short Film Award is open to entries from the UK only and provides an opportunity for British filmmakers to demonstrate their skills to the world. This award encourages the essential growth and development of new talent within the British film industry.
The Short Animation Award is open to UK productions only. It is presented to the most innovative and outstanding film produced each year. Past winners include Nick Park, Sylvain Chomet and Michael Dudok de Wit.
Films for both categories must be no more than 30 minutes in duration and may be submitted on 35mm film or on Digital-Beta.
The full rules and entry forms are available on BAFTA’s website or contact Nick Williams at BAFTA for further information.
