Scopus Video Networks Awarded CSTB Award
Scopus Video Networks Ltd has announced that it was awarded 'For Popularity' CSTB Award.
The CSTB award recognizes technology,solutions, applications, products, advances, and services, and is considered a significant award in Russia and the CIS. The award was given to Scopus and its Russian partner, Telco Group, at the CSTB conference and exhibition, which was held in Moscow, between 5-7 February 2007.
Scopus won the award for its DVB statistical multiplex headend, deployed for Gazcom, the telecommunications arm of Russia’s energy giant, Gazprom. Gazcom’s headend is comprised of two systems, each supplying fifteen channels per transponder. The headend uplinks content to satellite that is then distributed to cable and satellite operators in Russia and throughout the world.
The Telco Group deployed Scopus’ platforms including E-1200 Encoders, IVG-7100 and IVG-7300 Intelligent Video Gateways, IRD-2900 Integrated Receiver Decoders and the NMS-4000 Network Management System.
Dmitry Rudnev, Telco Group General Manager said: "We are honoured to have earned this award together with Scopus. Our business in Russia continues to grow, as a result of the growth of digital broadcasting. Scopus’ solutions are an integral and an important part of our success."
According to Scopus’ AVP Sales EMEA Ms. Elya Presman: "Russia is an important market for Scopus and winning this award with the Telco Group is a significant recognition of our market position there. I look forward to strengthening it even further in the coming year."
