Scopus DVB platforms chosen by T-Systems

Scopus Network Technologies is supplying German business services provider T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, with DVB head-end platforms for digital TV and radio transmissions over satellite and ATM infrastructures.
Scopus is also supplying hundreds of professional receivers for T-Systems’ network of reception sites throughout Germany.
T-Systems will utilise Scopus’ new platforms for Business TV applications and allow Regional Program Insertion. Scopus’ platforms form the backbone of T-Systems new digital video broadcasting platforms and are based on Scopus’ CODICO product line.
Scopus’ platforms encompass encoders, multiplexers, network management and access control systems, Intelligent Video Gateways (IVG) as well as hundreds of professional IRDs for reception sites. Key to the high performance levels required by T-Systems are Scopus unique technical solutions, including remote network management control over multiple EPG and DVB table editing, back-up over ATM, HD uplink capabilities and more.
Alexander Lior, Director of Scopus, Germany, said: “Scopus is enabling T-Systems to lower operational costs while upgrading customer services. Our ability to provide advanced turn-key solutions, user friendly interfaces and immediate support from our Frankfurt office, allow T-Systems to offer top of the line services to its customers.”
