Dr Yaron Simler to join Scopus as President

Scopus Video Networks has announced the appointment of Dr Yaron Simler as its President.
His appointment is effective immediately. Dr Simler, a cable and satellite industries veteran, brings to Scopus immeasurable knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the industry as well as a significant and intimate familiarity with the American and worldwide markets.
Dr Simler is part of Scopus’ senior management team and will initially focus on Scopus’ Americas activities. In addition to his role as President, Dr. Simler has joined as a member of Scopus’ Board of Directors.
Previously, Dr Simler served as President of Harmonic’s Convergent Systems Division (CSD). Over the last 10 years, Simler held several positions in Harmonic, including Applications Engineer, International Sales Manager, Director of Applications and Technology and Vice President, Marketing.
Dr. Simler received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
