Harris announces key appointment to NEXIO server systems team

Harris Corporation has announced a key addition to its Leitch NEXIO server systems team with the appointment of Fred Schultz as senior marketing manager for news solutions.
In this new position, Schultz will work closely with Harris news solutions product management to promote awareness and increase sales of the NEXIO NewsNet digital news production system.
Schultz brings to Harris more than a decade of experience in video server-based newsroom systems. As the winner of a Primetime Emmy for Best Sound Mixing, Schultz has earned a solid reputation as an expert in the broadcast industry. He has delivered several conference presentations to the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and is a frequent contributor to various trade publications, including the SMPTE Journal.

Schultz comes to the Harris team from Sundance Digital, where he was Vice President of news automation. Prior to joining Sundance Digital, Schultz worked with the Leitch (and formerly ASC) server group from its inception, providing product management and support for the VR300 and VR400 series servers.
Pivotal in the first introduction of the Leitch integrated video server-based newsroom systems to the market, Schultz successfully repositioned the company's video server product line from a low-cost alternative to a technology leader.
