Zee News On Air With Harris Digital System

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has announced that Zee Uttar Pradesh is the latest channel at India's Zee News Limited to go on air using the Harris NewsForce high-definition/standard-definition news production platform.
The newsroom facility at Zee Uttar Pradesh represents one of the most comprehensive installations of a Harris ONE solution in India, comprising integrated broadcast solutions that span automation, broadcast infrastructure and video server products.
Other Zee New Limited facilities using a Harris ONE solution include those at Zee News, Zee Business, Zee Marathi, Zee Bangla, Zee Punjabi, Zee Chhattisgarth, Zee Telugu, Zee Kannada, Zee 24 Taas and 24 Ghanta - a 24-hour Bangla news channel operated by a subsidiary company known as Zee Akaash News Private Limited.
Y.P. Singh, Senior Vice President of Technology at Zee News Limited, said: "We rolled out Harris NewsForce across our entire news operation because its integrated solution meets our news production workflow requirements. We wanted to collaborate with a company offering interoperable products, while supporting our engineering efforts locally across India. The Harris end-to-end news workflow at Zee Uttar Pradesh features the NEXIO AMP advanced media platform, as well as members of the NewsForce family of MOS-enabled applications, including Velocity ESX on-SAN high-resolution editors. The Harris ADC playout automation system provides the content workflow management from ingest and preparation through to transmission.
The installation also houses a raft of Harris Videotek TVM multiformat signal analysers, the 6800+ modular core processing platform, the IconMaster master control switcher, a Platinum router, Predator II multiviewers, the X75 all-in-one processor and DTS Neural Loudness Control technology.
