RUDAS STUDIOS ORDER QUANTEL IQ

RUDAS Studios, a Dusseldorf-based post production facility house, will be the first in Europe to install the iQ, Quantel’s platform for co-operative content creation.
Quantel’s iQ platform introduces a new integrated workflow environment for post, its gigabit networking and open connectivity allows the most appropriate resources throughout the facility to be brought to bear on every aspect of a project while providing management, input, output and distribution of material.
Managing Director, Joschko Rudas, said: The iQ will be installed at Rudas in February 2001. We will be the first company in Europe to be able to offer the quality and speed that Quantel are renowned for but at full, non-compressed HD resolution. Customers will be impressed at the picture quality we will be able to offer, especially in such areas as cinema advertising. They will get a final product that is significantly better than anything presently available, and get that result in the same time that the job would take today as standard definition.”
Quantel’s iQ is a powerful, resolution co-existent image processor, which handles all resolutions, SD and HD, in real-time with its own suite of editing, graphics and character functionality.
The iQ integrates a computer, capable of running third party plug-ins and applications at Quantel speed as well as taking full advantage of the connectivity that computers can offer.
