MotionFX take delivery of Quantel iQ

MotionFX have taken delivery of their Quantel iQ HD RGB system, which makes its debut at The Production Show.
The system is intended to be used alongside the company’s Thomson Viper Filmstream camera and Zeiss HD Digiprime lenses to allow realtime capture of fully uncompressed 10 bit RGB images to be recorded directly onto hard disk, with IQ’s toolset then being utilised to produce composites, special effects, colour correction and editing processes in one uninterrupted workflow either on location or at the company’s facilities.
The addition of Milo motion-control from Motion Control Cameras is also offered.
MotionFX claim this combination is totally unique to a single company in the UK and represents the next step in their expansion programme.
Facility Manager John O’Quigley said: “The capabilities of iQ far outstretched any other rival system we looked at in terms of flexibility, speed and interactivity. Our business is rapidly moving into new creative areas, and the iQ was the only logical choice to enable this development.” MotionFX will be demonstrating their new Digital Intermediate array at this year’s Production Show, on stand no. 888.
