Scopus Video Networks To Present Commercially Available Encoders At IBC

Scopus Video Networks, a provider of digital video networking solutions, will present two new commercially available encoders at IBC 2007 stand 1.249 - the UE-9810 H.264 High
Definition (HD) and the UE-9420 Dual H.264 Standard Definition (SD) encoding
platforms.
The company will also demonstrate its integrated IP headend, as well as converged distribution solutions for broadcast, satellite, cable and Telco infrastructures.
"This is a very significant event for us," said Eitan Koter, President of Scopus. "We provide the broadcast industry all the necessary elements for launching new services and enhancing digital channel capabilities which will result in efficient content delivery and increased revenue. The addition of HD to our encoder family is well timed with the adaptation of H.264 by our customers."
The UE-9810 HD H.264 encoder platform enables broadcasters and operators to offer premium high-definition content and provides integrated, advanced multiplexing capabilities for creation and flexible delivery of new services. The UE-9420's dual channel capability reduces operating expenses and space consumption, and its design meets broadcasters and TV operators demanding requirements with a rich feature set. Both platforms are available either as a stand-alone unit with IP and ASI out or in a DSNG version featuring built-in DVB-S/S2 modulation schemes.
Scopus' H.264 encoding platforms are ideal for satellite contribution and distribution applications, cable TV headends, terrestrial broadcast, as well as IPTV and DBS applications.
The platforms' advanced compression capabilities optimize video and audio quality at low bit-rates to maximize bandwidth utilization and provide IP and ASI outputs for maximum
functionality.
