Grass Valley’s Jackson joins IBIS as Operations Manager

IBIS have announced the appointment of Nigel Jackson, formerly Senior Project Manager and Systems Consultant at Thomson Broadcast and Media Solutions.
At Thomson GrassValley, Jackson was responsible for the management of projects worth millions of dollars for broadcast installations worldwide. He is well known to the broadcast industry and brings a wealth of experience from his time at both Grass Valley and the BBC, to a strong broadcast and IT-based team at IBIS, where he takes the position of Operations Manager.
“NAB was my introduction to working with the IBIS team and we had a great show,” said Jackson. “I have always admired their straightforward approach to automation and process management and know from personal experience just how clever their control software is.
“I believe that the world’s top broadcasters are now realising the true scope of what IBIS has to offer and I am excited and proud to be part of that future.”
Andrew Winter, IBIS Director of Marketing, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Nigel to the IBIS team. We are going through a period of sustained growth and have no doubt that Nigel’s skills and experience will help us continue to develop our business in the key areas of news, automation and broadcast business management systems.”
IBIS produces a range of applications and products to enable the broadcaster to create an open and scaleable transmission solution. IBIS' distinctive and user-friendly interfaces minimise training time and their adaptable approach gives broadcasters the flexibility required in either a modular or customised system.
