IBIS Partners Reveal Further Advances In Key Areas Of Media Expertise

Integrated Broadcast Information Systems (IBIS) exhibited on a number of partner stands at NAB, demonstrating further advances in their commitment to asset management, news and sports workflow management.
IBIS Media Management applications were used to control file based Auto-Ingest of clips, proxies and metadata from a Sony XDCAM CART to an AVID editing system on the Sony booth.
IBIS was showing live sports highlights capture on an OMNEON Spectrum server using their multi-award winning Highlighter application, which allows highlights of multiple live feed material to be captured and played instantly to air. Event-specific metadata captured alongside the video material is held with the clip in an open database which can be accessed for instant live-to-air graphics or archived for use long after the live event has ended. IBIS will also be one of the first European companies to work with the new Omneon Media Deck server.
Having recently completed successful major archive management projects at ITN and SSVC, IBIS is one of the leading providers of Archive Media Management solutions. IBIS Archive Solutions was shown at NAB moving material from an Omneon server to XDCam through content storage management middleware from SGL, XenData and Front Porch.
Also on shown on the IBIS booth was the core Media Management application ServerBase running on an Apple OS. Installed on an Apple G3, ServerBase for Mac was demonstrated media managing an Omneon Spectrum server to offer intelligent clip and library management via IBIS iFind; enhanced metadata entry; proxy viewing; and full videoserver housekeeping functionality.
