IPV selected by IBIS for logging tool demonstration at NAB 2004

IPV Limited, the global leader and the largest independent supplier of video browsing technology to the professional video market, has announced that IBIS, the leading pioneer in television process automation, will be demonstrating a 24/7 feed logger tool enabled by IPV’s SpectreView technology at NAB.
The IBIS feed logger was developed in collaboration with IPV and shows how SpectreView components can easily be integrated into an ‘all-in-one’ live feed logger, providing the ability to continually capture and log live broadcast streams 24/7.
This demonstration proves the feasibility of utilising the ‘active record’, ‘rolling record’ and the comprehensive media management functions that SpectreView technology provides to quickly and efficiently produce a product that offers all the features required in a 24/7 feed logger.
Uses for a product based on this demonstrator could include; outgoing feed logging as a legislative requirement, breaking news monitoring, review of transmitted material and competition analysis.
Andrew Winter, Director of Marketing at IBIS, stated: “IBIS chose SpectreView because of the ease with which we are able to integrate SpectreView technology into a commercial product.
“With full search capability by timecode and shot change enabled by the SpectreView SVPCIcard and SpectreView Server, the IBIS application of Feed Logger makes an ideal Programme as Broadcast (PasB) replacement device.”
