Nucoda announce huge success of Film Master courses

Nucoda, a product line of Digital Vision, has announced the huge success of two Film Master Training Courses that took place recently in London and Los Angeles.
Film Master, an award-winning resolution-independent end-to-end film and commercials finishing solution, provides major improvements in workflow for any facility and brings valuable flexibility to the Digital Intermediate (DI) finishing process.
The London course, which was held at Nucoda's head office in Soho, included five colourists from all over Europe and was lead by Nucoda Product Manager, Nigel Hadley.
On completion of the three day course, Kevin Shaw, freelance colourist, consultant and instructor, commented: "I have high hopes for software solutions in the colourist workflow, and chose the Nucoda course in order to accept work on Film Master. I was very impressed with the inclusion
of OFX architecture, and especially the sky replacement filter. Main benefits for me were in context grading, which did not compromise on quality. I like the toolsets for versioning and for dealing with composite layers, I've wanted these features for sometime now and Nucoda does them really well."
Following the London course Hadley played host to six colourists in LA including Randy Starnes who explained: "It was the best course I've had in this business in 25 years. I was surprised at how much I could accomplish versus the hardware solution that has been developed in the last 20 years. The ability to amend a list and use the metadata in the file headers to change the order of the cut and still allow the grading to follow was very impressive."
