Film Academy Launch Online MA Film Producing & Business Management Course
The Film Academy is to launch the new online MA Film Producing & Business Management course, starting in January 2007.
Its key aim is to create a global village of freelancers, producers and other film industry professionals who will be able to unite on line through simultaneous or asynchronous conversation, sharing work practice and exchanging new knowledge and lessons learned.
Accessibility and flexibility are core to the e-learning philosophy. Family and work commitments, travel issues and remote locations are no longer obstacles - candidates are able to choose when they want to engage with their programme and from where.
Modules may be taken individually or as a package, according to the needs and availability of freelancers, working professionals and others. Completion of three modules will result in a PG Cert in Film Producing & Business Management. Completion of all six modules will result in a post-graduate Diploma.
Completion of a Masters Film Project will result in an MA. This programme will enhance the UK's reputation as a world leader in film skills training as well as attract filmmakers and production companies to the UK.
Clive Myer, Director of the Film Academy said: "This is an ideal opportunity to help develop the training needs of the wider film-making community who can now decide to study and upskill through any combination of distance and face-to-face learning."
