Broadcast Traffic Systems launch new products at CabSat

Broadcast Traffic Systems (BTS), a leading supplier of traffic software solutions to the broadcast industry, is to introduce a range of new products at CabSat in Dubai.
BTS will be showcasing Enterprise, an integrated system suitable for both single and multi-channel broadcast applications. Enterprise integrates with automation systems to achieve a fully integrated traffic and transmission environment. Available under Windows or UNIX, the application has a browser interface enabling BTS to offer full language support, including Arabic.
The company will also launch a new data interface module, Freeway, which allows for easier communications between its traffic system and external systems. This new module can be used to handle links to a range of systems including automation system databases, financial applications and television listing databases.
Freeway consists of a shared database and a set of easy to control access routines. These are used to hold information from the BTS traffic database and from external system databases. This keeps the integrity of all databases intact as it avoids any system having to update data belonging to another system. This is crucial in automation environments, as the automation database must be kept up to date with traffic data without it being compromised during on-air operations.
