BTS to showcase new version traffic software at IBC
Broadcast Traffic Systems (BTS) will be showcasing new products and software developments at this year’s IBC show in Amsterdam (Hall 3, Stand 312).
BTS will launch a new version of its successful Enterprise traffic management and scheduling product. The latest version incorporates a range of new features that can be selected to suit specific customer requirements. It features a brand new user interface that makes the day to day operation of the system simple for the user. The new GUI utilises a standard browser making it easy to use and reducing training time dramatically.
Additional developments include a fully configurable workflow that allows users to tailor the system to meet its own operational processes; and advanced user maintained multi-language dictionaries to allow the system to cater for all language sets including Arabic and Chinese.
The Enterprise system has a large range of functions covering the complete schedule to automation workflow. At IBC BTS will demonstrate new scheduling routines that cover automated promotion scheduling, preset logo generation, playlist previewing and seamless automation interfacing.
Also on show at IBC are advanced advertising sales routines to help with optimising revenue; graphical management analysis tools in advertising sales and scheduling areas; internal messaging and alert system; and sophisticated content management.
All the new features are geared towards reducing the effort needed in the scheduling process. As a result, our customers can enjoy increased productivity using minimal resources. Broadcasters now have the ability to optimise their advertising sales inventory in a cost effective and efficient way.
“BTS has always recognised that broadcasters’ needs can differ widely. The features needed by a large multi-channel playout centre are not appropriate to a single channel regional broadcaster,” says Craig Buckland. “Our new software release allows users to select only those features needed for its own workflow requirements. We believe that with the addition of the new functionality, we’ve been able to make the system even easier to operate.”
BTS software can operate on ‘industry standard hardware, including Windows Sever and Linux, allowing the cost of ownership to be kept to a minimum. The flexible software design enables broadcasters to select a solution that fits their requirements and budget.
Also new at this year’s IBC is a Message Gateway that enables easy management of SMS and MMS message delivery.
EmPower is a turnkey product that can take messages from multiple sources like SMS, email and MMS and provides a single point of approval for transmission before passing the content on to transmission automation.
It incorporates features such as multiple levels of approval and support for multiple languages, so the system reduces the amount of time spent filtering content before display.
EmPower is a stand alone product that will integrate into BTS’ Traffic applications, offers multiple language support and features multiple levels of filtering – both automated and manual – and editing capability.
