Vizrt 2004 report 27% growth from last year

Vizrt has announced financial results for 2004 revealing another record revenue growth with Q4 2004, up Q4 2003 was 29% and 27% on the full year.
During the course of 2004, Vizrt strengthened its ties with the world's most influential broadcasters, such as CNN and ESPN in the USA, NHK in Japan, TvToday in India, BSkyB, ITN and the BBC in the UK as well as ORF in Austria and ZDF and ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion in Germany.
These customers, and over 100 others, have all chosen to extend their relationships with Vizrt. Sales to existing customers constituted more than 50% of the company's turnover. And as in previous years, not a single customer opted for a competitor's solution.
In 2004, the company focused on developing products that would provide a lower cost of entry for the mid-tier market sector. Products such as Viz|Trio (a real-time 3D character generator), enabled the company to achieve its objectives.
The Vizrt Beijing office was officially opened and the first substantial contract in China was signed last year with The Travel Channel. Vizrt has also opened offices in Latin America and the Middle East, as well as allocating more resources into Italy and France. In 2004, Vizrt added 65 new customers to reach a total installed base of 284 in 53 countries.
Mr Bjarne Berg, President and CEO said: "In 2004 we proved that we could provide products for both the high- and low-end market sectors. For the high-end, Vizrt delivered HD solutions to customers in the USA and Japan, and delivered standalone CGs all over the world to satisfy the needs of the smaller production companies and TV channels. Our goal is to deliver total solutions for broadcasters, making their on-air look better, their production time shorter and achieving all of that at a reduced cost. It is also our goal to become each customer's main graphics provider, as we are in CNN and our customer sites around the world."
Vizrt is one of the world’s leading providers of real-time 2D and true 3D broadcast graphics.
The company’s software solutions include caption generation, content management and newsroom integration, template graphics, 3D tickers, virtual studio sets, weather forecasts, virtual sports graphics, SMS interactivity and large-scale displays.
Leading broadcasters, such as ITN, BBC Sports, Sky Sports, Sky News and CNN, CBS, ZDF, Star TV, TV Today and NHK, use Vizrt’s graphics on a regular basis.
