Leader reports successful IBC 2004

Leader Electronics has reported growing interest in multistandard signal analysers among delegates attending IBC 2004.
Paul Vos, Managing Director of elQuip BV commented: "We are seeing a slow but accelerating transition from SD to HD, influenced by the affordability of relatively large flat-panel displays and the increasing availability of cost-efficient HD programme production equipment. 525 and 625-line television standards are already being joined by 720p and 1080i. Leader's response at IBC 2004 was the LV5750 portable multi-standard HD-SDI/SD-SDI monitor. Twenty video formats are supported, including 1080i, 720p, 525i/59.94 and 625i/50. Ideal for HD/SD field operation, OB-vans or flight cases, the Leader LV5750 enables camera crews and directors to make accurate adjustments of colour balance while shooting instead of losing time and money in extensive post-production colour-correction. LV5750 features include DC-power, tripod attachment, embedded-audio headphone output, high-quality 6.5 inch XGA (1024x768) TFT LCD screen, extensive error detection for SDI signal monitoring, individual or four-in-one multiple display of waveform, vectorscope, picture, status and embedded audio.
Leader also exhibited its latest intelligent multiformat generator, the multi-role LT448, incorporating all the patterns, formats and outputs required in the development and maintenance of CRT monitors, LCD and plasma displays and projectors. Every major television format and PC resolution is supported, including HDTV.
Outputs include composite, component and Y/C analogue, DVI, RGB and audio.
