30,000 attendees so far at IBC 2004

As IBC 2004 approaches its halfway point, the show has already attracted 30,000 attendees - and the organisers have last year's final attendance figures of 36,395 in their sights.
The 11 exhibition halls are buzzing, with HD and Content Protection emerging as two of the main themes this year. Looking ahead, Monday's Conference seems certain to move the D-Cinema agenda forward when a keynote by Chuck Goldwater, representing seven Hollywood studios, promises to fuel the debate.
"Yes, the numbers are looking good and the stands and conference rooms are busy, but IBC is also about the quality of the visitors. The equipment on display is state-of-the-art, the conference is delivering opinion-forming debate and there are serious contracts being signed and announced," said Mike Crimp, IBC's Marketing Director.
"This event is a must for everyone involved in our business. Of course there's no substitute for being here and networking. So my advice is make sure you get to Amsterdam. If you are involved in creating, managing or delivering entertainment content, you can't afford to miss IBC 2004."
