Vizrt Scales Up Its Technical Support Service

Vizrt UK Ltd has announced that it is scaling up its technical support service from its base in London's Ealing Studios.
This reflects the increased level of broadcast business Vizrt is experiencing from the UK and reinforces the company's policy of strengthening local office resources to support customers.
Bernd Riedewald, a former System Specialist and Designer from Vizrt's Austrian centre will take on the role of Senior System Specialist, heading a team of four other engineers.
Bernd has over 10 years' experience in graphic design for a variety of media and he most recently provided graphics services for Red Bull's record breaking extreme sports events. About his move to Vizrt UK, Bernd said: "I am very excited to join the team in London. Our customers in the UK are well known around the world for their innovative ideas and for pushing the software to its limits, so it will be very exciting to work with them.
"I am also looking forward to leading the team of new system specialists that is joining Vizrt UK soon and learning from my colleagues in the UK."
Bernd takes over the role from Mark Ryan, who specialised in Vizrt broadcast graphics for the last seven years and who led Vizrt UK's technical team. Mark is transferring to Vizrt's MAM operation as its UK Project Manager. He works closely with Vizrt UK's new three member MAM team, Technical Sales Manager Freddie Albertsman, Solution Architect James Scott and Technical Accounts Manager Sean Curry. Mark said about his promotion: "After 7 years in TV Graphics I felt it was time to get involved with Vizrt's new products and workflows. I will continue to apply my graphics experiences and knowledge of large scale projects that include Vizrt graphics as well as for MAM and online.
"As the Vizrt product range has become increasingly integrated, my knowledge will help bridge any gaps. Fortunately, the company is regularly taking on many large projects so I definitely won't be bored."
Vizrt UK Ltd has also hired Muhammad Muneeb and Daniel McCarthy, both with previous broadcast engineering experience to join the support team this Spring.
Muhammad has worked in broadcast since 2007, most recently as a special project engineer for Presteigne Charter and was a vision engineer and broadcast system engineer working on Sports, Entertainment and Factual events.
About his appointment as a System Specialist at Vizrt, Muhammad said: "Vizrt is rapidly growing and has developed some very interesting new products. My new position as System Specialist at Vizrt promises to have many new challenges for me. Therefore, I am very much looking forward to be a part of Vizrt."
Daniel was originally an audio engineer in 2007 but he comes to Vizrt from Shotoku having worked on installing, commissioning and maintaining robotic cameras in TV studios and Parliaments in the UK and around the world.
