Cutting edge visual FX at Hot Knife Digital Media

Hot Knife Digital Media, located close to Nottingham City Centre, is well known within the broadcast advertising sector for its work in 3D animation, visualisation and multimedia using cutting edge technology.
Recently Hot Knife has expanded its technological facilities with the acquisition of a new video-editing suite, DPS Velocity Q. This allows multi-layered real-time editing and outputs across the range of all modern-day digital multimedia formats including web and professional video. This state of the art technology was utilised by Hot Knife to create a short film: 'F.stop', in conjunction with The Film Council's DV Shorts scheme to produce innovative short films that reflect exciting new developments in digital film and computer graphics. Combining computer graphics with live acting, Hot Knife applied techniques such as those used in recent feature films such as 'Spiderman', to produce stunning visual effects.
For more information and further examples of Hot Knife's work see their website www.hotknife.co.uk, where a showreel CD can be downloaded showcasing their latest top projects.
