Rushes And Itch Film Team Up For Hot Melts Promo

Following his successful run of videos to launch emerging British indie bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks and The Automatic, Itch director Charlie Paul's talents have been called upon again to produce the Hot Melts first release, 'Edith'.
Shot over two days at the Itch/Rushes studio, the promo is a single shot motion control move creating a seamless piece of 35mm film with the band able to appear and disappear throughout the camera's journey.
The opening animated scene of a toy car's journey across a tabletop scene of animated musical debris was animated by Itch director Nuno Costa. The table top elements and band performance were incredibly edited by Julian Tranquille at Cut & Run making objects and musicians flash in and out of the cameras sweeping movements.
The final compositing sparks snow and magic dust were created in Smoke by the brilliant Brian Carbin at Rushes.
'Edith' was released on Epitaph Records/Wonderland Records on March 9 2009.
